Ingredients:

- 500 grams (1 pound) beef, finely chopped

- 1 onion, finely chopped

- 3 cloves of garlic, minced

- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated

- 2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)

- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

- 1 teaspoon coriander powder

- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (adjust to taste)

- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

- Salt to taste

- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped for garnish

Instructions:

1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan or wok over medium heat.

2. Add the cumin seeds and allow them to sizzle for a few seconds until they start to release their aroma.

3. Add the chopped onions to the pan and sauté until they become soft and translucent.

4. Add the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chilies to the pan. Sauté for another minute or until the raw smell disappears.

5. Now, add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and start to break down, creating a thick masala base.

6. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to the pan. Stir well to combine the spices with the masala.

7. Add the finely chopped beef to the pan and mix it with the masala. Cook on medium heat for about 10-12 minutes or until the beef is cooked through and tender.

8. Sprinkle garam masala over the cooked beef masala and give it a final stir.

9. Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

10. Serve the chopped masala beef hot with steamed rice, roti, or naan bread. It can also be enjoyed as a filling for sandwiches or wraps.
